This course is designed to help healthcare providers navigate the complexities of pain management and opioid prescribing while adhering to state requirements. The course explores evidence-based strategies for assessing and managing pain, with a focus on reducing opioid misuse and supporting patients with or at risk for addiction. Providers will gain insights into regulatory standards, documentation best practices, and the use of Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs) to enhance patient safety and align with state guidelines for controlled substance prescribing.
